Dear Josephine & Angela

Thank you for welcoming our class into to the Fencible cottage.

What I really enjoyed about the tour inside the Stone Cottage was the old machinery and tools because it looked completely different from the machinery and tools now. One example of this was the old vacuum. It looked very different from the modern vacuums we have in our homes today. I was fascinated by the remnant of the old volcanic bomb ( rock) because of how it came out a volcano.

I thought it was interesting about the size of the house inside it made me think that the people in the time of Fencibles,were possibly not at big or as tall as we are today, because the stair way and rooms were very small. Another interesting thing that caught my eye, was an electronic device. This camera was like nothing I had ever seen except in old movies.

What got me thinking about the cottage was that it looked small from the outside but it was bigger on the inside. Perhaps it was bigger from the inside because the roof was used as a part of the house for bedrooms.

Once again I’d like to say, thank you Josephine & Angela.

Fencible Cottage_PMI

We have been learning about the Fencibles who came to live in Panmure along time ago.

Many of the people were Irish Catholics.  They journeyed by ships with their families.  It was a very long and dangerous journey.  Some people did not make it.

Recently I went to see the Fencible Stone Cottage in Panmure.  It is like a little museum lots of antiques that gave me an idea of what it would have been like to have lived in those days. Later I made this PMI chart to record my key ideas.

Information About Chosen Idea that left me thinking:

A volcanic bomb is made during the eruption of a volcano.

It is actually just a rock made of lava. But while the volcanic bomb is in the air, the lava dries up before it reaches the ground. Volcanic bombs are larger than 2.5 inches that’s over 6 centimetres.

The volcanic bomb can be  thrown very far from the eruption point of a volcano. Volcanic bombs are very dangerous as well, it can cause serious injuries and death to people and animals in a erupting volcano area. Volcanic bombs are known to just explode with the pressure of inside gas when they are cooled down.

They are one of the dangerous objects that come of erupting volcanos. There many types of volcanic bombs, such as the Ribbon bomb, Spindle bomb, Cow Pie bomb, Breadcrust bomb and the Cored bomb.

Pups

Puppies are young dogs, but they are cuter and less harmful than other dogs.

Some puppies can weigh o.45-1.36 kg but others can be 6.8-10.4 kg. Healthy puppies will grow quickly after they are born. Puppies fur can change into different colours while they are growing.

When a puppy is born, they appear in a amnion that the Mum dog eats.

Puppies begin to get taken care of straight away. When puppies are one month of age, they start to eat solid food. Sometimes the mum dog, doesn’t want to take care of her pups.

Puppies may not be cute, cuddly and less harmful, but they are cool pets.
